The Star Prince

Once upon a time, there was a star prince. Inside the cerulean of his eyes, there glowed the brightness of his soul. His young face and exuberance for life. His endless curiosity gave him constant energy. He worked, and craved, his zest and spirit on the terrible streets he grew up on- did not diminish his ambition for more.

The only clue he had that he was a prince was when his father showed him a carved mahogany box, and within was a golden crown embedded with clusters of tiny golden stars. His father told him, that it had been passed down for generations. Although the land had been lost- the men of their linegae - although his father had never worn the crown, it was his.

The Star Prince wished for a kingdom to wear his crown and a queen to share it with. So he knew the potential within him, that the king ship awaited him when he was ready

He was a vibrant, excited and curious man, and when he came across the Demon Princess, the one that he thought could rule the kingdom with him, he knew she was a Demon- but there are many demons- and the sweetness and beauty of her captured his gentle and loving heart. He pretended the Fire in her eyes was passion and not of the Fire Demon that he has sensed in her mother- in the hidden lineage- He thought that lineage would bypass his Princess.

He was besotted with her, as she was loving and beautiful. He admired her as he was a giving and generous man prone to romantic leanings. He believed in the Love goddess- and felt she had given him the queen he had sought. He had the story he had told h himself of finding his kingdom and ruling it with his chosen queen.

This Demon Princess soon gave him a prince and princess. Their life was full of endless highs and lows. Wounding and hardship. They were bound together over hard times and chaos. When his woman, threw the glass at his head, he tried to understand and soothe her. He kneeled before her in promise to worship only her forever. And when he did that- the Demon Princess, slipped a small golden chain around his neck and ankle- binding. Him to her forever. Keeping him always- in love and in hate. He saw the fire in her eyes- and saw how he had been caught.

He would soothe and beg and still serve her. But always her temper was dangerous- he risked the lives of his prince and princess for her- as the chain choked him and he felt he had no choice. As one of the things he greatly feared was the Judge, and whenever he began to balk and pull at his chain, the Demon Princess, reminded him of the Judge. they had both suffered greatly at the hands of the Judge- who had wounded them and their children with his lack of insight- his blind justice that cut into their souls. When he looked sideways- he could see the creature that lurked within her, that was her mother and the mother before- a fire demon was too overwhelming to contend with.

The fire demon consumed its prey and soon began to feast on his brides dark heart- she had to spend many days, weeks, months in medical care. The Star Prince with his tender heart gave the Woman- his Bride- her medicines, tended her wounds. She would put the sword at his neck, the. Glass sharp if he even signaled any signs of disobedience or if she just felt like it- no reasonings was needed. The fire demon that ate her soul had no reason.

The Star Prince was so entangled with the Beautiful Demon Princess and her fire demon, that he could not tell what was right or what was up. Somehow, he found himself a prisoner- because if he left their palace without leave- his woman would show her sharp teeth and he could. Not battle with this creature. It was easier, to put his head down. He screamed and raged, her sword just at his heart and he gave in- for his children- as they looked from behind the corner- the imprint in their mind of their father kneeling to their mother the beautiful and terrible princess.

Still he hoped the Love Goddess lurked within her, and they would be able to build their kingdom. She was endlessly beautiful to him – but she had her hooks in him, and he could not tell what his feelings were or what hers were as they had all become entangled. He lost his way within the jungle of his Princess. Sometimes, she would be pleased, and show her beautiful and joyful side to him. He wanted to please her- because in pleasing her- it somehow pleased him- or so he thought. the princess, reminded him of the bond and the promises, she would tap the chain and he would go back into his cell.

All the same, he was exhausted and hurt by her. As she would lock him in his cell, keeping the key tight in her pocket. For two decades, he stayed this way. He had ever felt obligated to please the dark energy of the Demon Princess– the dark witch of the underworld. Whenever he would balk and be upset about her power over him – she would show him the card of the Judge who he was terrified of – as he had encountered this character before and had nearly had broken him. Every time he considered facing the Judge, he would quaver and quake in his boots. He felt the Judge would ruin him, take everything he had built.

So he stayed in his cell. He would look at the blue sky and imagine the Love Witch who must surely be out there for him- the true Queen to his kingdom. The one who would wear her own heart-studded crown. But he also hoped if he pleased his woman, she would show her true nature underneath, that of his equal and his Star Queen.

He wondered if he was able to buy their kingdom, if that would transform her and make her the Queen she wanted to be and the one he greatly longed for. With great pains, he found the castle and the lands to be the Kingdom of the Star Prince. To be the place of linage for their family- for his own son to be a Star King when the time was right. It cost him greatly and put him into a terrible debt. He wanted this to be the kingdom, for his Demon Princess to tend her garden and there they would flourish and be happy.

But- they were not happy- the rage of the Princess was endless and her hunger was ongoing. The young star prince, was gentle and sweet like his father- enduring. The heat of the Fire demon as best as he could, but the youngest princess, she became infected by the Fire demon and began to show signs.

The Star Prince thought of the crown he had foolheartedly gave to the crown to the Princess- he wondered where it was- in the end - it belonged to his son- the young prince. He wondered about having the crown and placing it on his head- the effect it could have- but he lacked the courage to battle her for the keys to the cupboard to where his crown was hidden.

He had been in prison so long – he had gone mad – but a type of hunger had taken over on him – a longing to be loved and tended. He was exhausted as a prisoner and working without any real love or affection.

Once she placed the tip of her sword on his neck and drew blood- he knew- he had to step away and worked hard to convince her that he was going to tour the lands to seek the perfect fish- to allow him to bring home his bounty outside their lands. He would always return- invigorated with joy and although she was a jealous and possessive Princess, her prince had brought her the castle- so she allowed his limited freedom.

He began to have small adventures in a small carriage and he traveled around and it felt good to be away from the prison. But often, prisoners feel afraid when they leave their prison, it fueled anxiety. So he would return to his cell- although he hated it- but it had its cold comfort. While he looked out the window at the blue blue sky, he called for the Love Goddess to ask if there was a Love Witch for him- that would soothe his weary and hurt heart.

And suddenly. There she was- this Love WItch- just in his lap. Replying to a letter she had written- a general inquiry- she began to wind into him and they smashed into each other- the Love Witch who had been recently released from her dry and loveless life- to find her crown- her power crashed into the great love of the Star Prince.

The weavings of the Star Prince and the Love Witch were star filled, potent and their love blosomed- beautiful and bright. He showed. the chain around his ankle to his lover- that he was bound to he land- that he could not lay in her arms.

As she loved him, and knew of these wounds- she loved him anyways- chained or not. She accepted this, as she had never been possessed by such a love. It was profound, inspiring and captivating to her- she was hooked.

But his golden chain was so tight, he was unable to meet the Love Witch as he was a prisoner. He had many stories of how he wanted to meet her- and his great fear of the Judge. He would get mad at the Love Witch for being demanding and wanting to love him. He denied her and would go back to his prison cell- recalling the gentle love of the Love Witch and be angry,  but also feel he had no choice. He was needed and the Judge hung over him. His concerns about money and the safety of his young Prince and Princess consumed his thoughts.

He would tell her to stop demanding his precense- that she should not wish for him- as it tortured him- making his work difficult.

She heard the Star Prince say how he never was loved or adored- never allowed to be himself. She pressed her lips on his chest. It was hard to watch him suffer- lash out at her.

Sometimes he would think the Love Witch was trying to own him- by her love- or force him to do certain things- and he could not do while he was still bound without his crown. The love witch told him to go on his own way and enjoy his life- she was entangled with the Star Prince and felt deep under his power. The radiance of him completely captured her, and she was deeply enamored.

Then the Star Prince learned his heir, the young star prince, who nearly of age to take his inhertiance, was wounded in his heart- the same fire demon had eaten into his heart- making it expand larger- making it hard for him to breath, the electricity of his heartbeat- bounding deep in the center of him. The father felt the wound of this, that his son wounded, dying lay heavy on his conciousness.

With the wounding of his son, he could not open to the love of the Love Witch. He found peace. but was strangled by his fear- his castle at home and again pushed her away. This prisoner behavior infuriated the Love Witch – pained her, wounded her. It enraged her. And she told him to go his own way if that's what he wished. If he wished to stay a prisoner then  that is his choice. She was not a god- and it was hard to transform her feelings- to not feel the judgment of herself- to feel lonely and rejected by a man she adored.

He longed and missed the Love Witch. He wished for her back as he looked at the grey skies, he thought he would lose her- as she had stopped thinking of him, she unwound his love cord from her neck=- as he had done nothing but pain her since he returned to his prison palace.

And in light- she touched the god of him- his mind still clouded with fear and worry. He brought the inner God of the Star Prince out- she wound herself around him- and burst- just as he severed the cord connecting them.

So it goes on – would he free himself from his prison? Would he find peace and balance with the Woman? Would he find a way to free himself from his palace? Would he succeeded if he had to meet the judge, what other fears Lay ahead of him and would he be able to place his star crime on his head? Would the love of the love witch always remain stable would the star Prince be able to take the keys of his prison cell and be free?
